Kidney tumors
01
Uro-oncology
Kidney tumors are often detected incidentally during ultrasound or CT scans.
This provides an opportunity to act early and in a minimally invasive manner.
Kidney resection – preserving kidney function
If the tumor is small and localized:
*This is particularly important in the long term to preserve kidney function.
-
it is possible to remove only the tumor, preserving the remaining part of the kidney
Nephrectomy
If the tumor is large or complex:
the kidney is removed,
a laparoscopic approach is possible even in complex cases.
-
Less surgical trauma
-
Faster recovery
-
Lower risk of complications
02
Uro-oncology
Minimally invasive approach – why is it important?
Laparoscopic surgery:
- reduces postoperative pain,
- allows a faster return to daily life,
- provides better cosmetic results,
- often results in shorter hospitalization.
